A fine-grained, foliated, homogeneous metamorphic rock derived from an original shale-type sedimentary rock composed of clay or volcanic ash through regional metamorphism. It is the finest grained foliated metamorphic rock.

The superior qualities of teak:

This beautiful timber has that stunning honey-coloured lustre which turns to a silver-grey patina as the ageing process moves on.

When used outdoors a high oil content and a very dense grain which both occur naturally in teak will offer natural protection against the elements all year round reducing the likelihood of both cracking or splitting.

These qualities also help reduce the likelihood of fungal or insect attack.

We do not recommend the use of Teak Oil but for cosmetic purposes we recommend you browse through our range of Teak Care Products.
